Custard Pie

Ingredients:

  • 4 eggs, beaten slightly
  • 2/3 cup sugar
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 2 2/3 cups milk
  • 1 tsp. vanilla

Directions:

Blend together until mixed. Pour into frozen pie shell. Sprinkle with nutmeg. Bake at 350 degrees F for 45 minutes or until center is set.

Recipe: Custard Pie

Ingredients

  • 4 eggs
  • 1 pint milk, scalded
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 Tbsp. (heaping) flour
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 unbaked 9 inch pie crust

Directions

Beat eggs very thoroughly. Add sugar and flour and mix well. Then add scalded milk (slightly cooled) and vanilla. Pour into unbaked pie crust. Sprinkle with cinnamon. Bake at 425 degrees F for 25-30 minutes.
