Pineapple Ice

There are 9 more "Water Ice" recipes. If anyone would like them let me know.

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup crushed pineapple
  • 2 Tbsp. lemon juice
  • 1 1/2 cups water
  • 1/3 cup sugar

Directions:

Combine water and sugar, and heat to boiling. Boil 5 minutes. Cool. Add pineapple and lemon juice. Freeze.

It has been so hot this summer that anything cold sounds wonderful. To have many flavors of a good cold treat would be just the best ever. Thank you for this pineapple one and any others you have time to share.

Like Keeper, anything with pineapple (or peaches) in it gets my attention and a big thumbs up.

10 Fruit and Water Ices

Several people wanted all the recipes for Water Ices when I posted the Pineapple Ice. Enjoy!

Grape

Ingredients

  • 2 cups grape juice
  • 1/4 cup lemon juice
  • 2 cups water
  • 2/3 cup sugar

Directions

Combine sugar and water. Heat to boiling. Boil for 5 minutes.

Cool. Add fruit juices and freeze.

Serves 8


Cranberry Ice

Ingredients

  • 2 cups cranberries
  • Few grains salt
  • 1 - 1/3 cups water
  • 2 - 1/2 cups water

Directions

Wash cranberries, remove stems. Add water, cover and cook until fruit is tender.

Rub through sieve. Add sugar and salt. Stir until dissolved. Cool, then freeze.

Serves 8


Lemon Ice

Ingredients

  • 2 cups water
  • 1 cup sugar
  • Few grains salt
  • 6 Tbsp. lemon juice

Directions

Combine sugar, salt and water. Heat to boiling. Boil 5 minutes and cool.

Add lemon juice and freeze.

Serves 4


Raspberry Ice

Ingredients

  • 2 cups water
  • 2 Tbsp. lemon juice
  • 2 cups Raspberry juice
  • 1/2 cup sugar

Directions

Combine sugar, salt and water. Heat to boiling. Boil 5 minutes and cool

Add lemon and raspberry juice and freeze.

Serves 8


Orange Ice

Ingredients

  • 1 cup orange juice
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1- 1/2 cup water
  • 2 Tbsp. lemon juice
  • a few grains salt

Directions

Combine water, sugar and salt. Heat to boiling. Boil 5 minutes.

Cool and add fruit juices.

Serves 6


Pineapple Ice

Ingredients

Cider Ice

Ingredients

  • 2 cups cider
  • 1 cup orange juice
  • 3/4 cup water
  • 1/4 cup lemon juice
  • 1/4 sugar

Directions

Combine ingredients. Sweeten to taste. Freeze

Serves 8


Coca Cola Ice

Ingredients

  • 2 cups water
  • 2 bottles Coca Cola
  • 1/2 cup lemon juice
  • 3/4 cup sugar

Directions

Combine water and sugar. Heat to boiling. Boil 5 minutes. Cool.

Add lemon juice and Coca Cola. Freeze (Food coloring can be added if desired)

Serves 8


Ginger Ale Ice

Ingredients

  • 2 cups water
  • 2 bottles Ginger Ale
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup orange juice
  • 1/2 cup lemon juice

Directions

Combine sugar and water. Heat to boiling. Boil 5 minutes. Cool.

Add fruit juices and ginger ale. Freeze. (Food coloring may be added if desired)

Serves 10


Root Beer Ice

Ingredients

  • 1 bottle root beer
  • 1 Tbsp. lemon juice
  • 1 Tbsp. sugar
  • Few grains salt

Directions

Combine ingredients , Mix until blended. Freeze.

Serves 2


Note: Frappes are water ices frozen to a mushy consistency. They may be eaten with a spoon or drank as a beverage. Any recipe for water ice may be used for preparing a frappe.
