What is the most economical time to use a washing machine and dishwasher?

I would suggest at night and not to run dishwasher and washer at the same time. Your water pump and heater will be working double time.
I run my dishwasher late night. I have read that running dishwasher off-peak
hours (7am to about 7pm) keeps costs down so I started to do that.
