I am looking for web sites for group trips on a bus or train in the US for one person. I presume it costs more. Thank you.

If you're old enough, elderhostel has train trips. I was on a cruise which also included an elderhostel group from Canada. They were having a fabulous time!

I'm not sure if they are considered group trips but Amtrak has vacation packages. Go to their website and click on "Hot Deals" to see what they have available.
