I took the photo in the evening. Thats how I was able to get the background to come out black. Every year they are here and very hungry! Im so glad that you all enjoyed my rufus...Heres one I took last year! This one I have on my website!

Wow, great picture, ? did you take the picture? if so I am wondering how you accomplished this especially with the "black background" How did you manage to take this at "night" and get the bird so clear without blurring of his wings which they move constantly...you must be a professional photographer or have an exceptional camera? Yes just one of many of God's beautiful creatures. We have two different species of Hummingbirds that come to my feeder. I guess there are many different kinds. They are so unique. I understand they migrate all the way down to Brazil without stopping.. Dorie
