Pack of spaghetti noodles: $0.50 Can of sauce: approx $1.00 Head of lettuce: $1.00 or so One tomato to cut up into salad: approx $0.50 Make garlic bread by using loaf bread or buns that you already have on hand, melt margarine, mix with garlic powder or a clove of crushed, fresh garlic, spread on the bread and put under the broiler in your oven until it is toasted. Salad dressing can be made inexpensively by making oil and vinegar dressing (equal parts vinegar and cooking oil) or by mixing up a packet of ranch or other flavor of dressing mix (these can sometimes be found at one of the dollar stores, as can the spaghetti noodles and the cans of sauce and garlic powder).
Total cost: $3.00 to $4.00.
