Does anyone know how to get oil based primer off of laminate countertops and linoleum floors?

I spilled primer on my laminate flooring...the 'Goof Off' product does not work!!!! Should I try paint thinner?

I've used paint remover in the past on laminate, which is why I suggested it; but as with any product, you may want to take Sharon's advice and test it first, using the least amount needed and do not let it set longer than necessary.

I would NOT use paint remover on laminate, unless I tested it in an inconspicuous place first!!!! Paint remover could ruin the laminate!...Does tismom mean paint thinner...such as mineral spirits?...This is what I would recommend...Also, you could carefully scrape the paint off, with a new razor blade in a razor blade scraper...

Let me clarify my previous message- what I meant to say is that the solvent is damaging to wood FINISHES.

Used cautiously, solvent or paint remover will work, after reading label instructions. Just be careful to not get any of the solvent on surrounding wooden areas, since it is damaging to wood.
