Since we are on a well and not city water my husband is always trying to save wear on our pump. He purchased a special shower head that you turn off after you get wet and are soaping up or shampooing. It works great and by measuring the water by putting the plug in. We only use between 2 - 2 1/2 gallons of water per shower. Plenty to get clean and rinsed. I use a small amount more when shaving legs.
