1 cup butter, softened or 1 stick butter-flavored Crisco
3/4 cup sugar
3/4 cup light brown sugar, packed
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
2 1/4 cups flour, unsifted
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 package Hershey milk chocolate chips (12oz.)
1 cup chopped nuts, opt.
Directions
Cream butter, sugars and vanilla until light and fluffy. Add eggs and vanilla; beat well. Stir in chocolate chips and nuts. Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 375 degrees F for 8-10 minutes or until lightly browned. Cool slightly before removing from cookie sheet.
