I have had success using woolite upholstery cleaner and a scrub brush. Just make sure you use one that's not too course..my three year old has done this several times. When you're done with the cleaner and scrub brush go over the area with a damp rag. You may have to repeat the process a few times..but it should work for you. Vaccuum when you're all done, good luck, Wendy
