I need an area rug and don't know how to best fit a color choice/style in. The accent pillows on my couch and chairs are 2 solid yellow gold, 1 ivory floral with dark red and greens, 1 striped with greens, and 1 light jade with a jute braid as the trim. What color or style area rug would tie the room together, or any changes suggested? Thanks.

Your living room sounds lovely. My girlfriend has a similar color and decor that you're describing and she just purchased an area rug with all the colors in it. She does not have carpeting, she has hardwood flooring and it looks gorgeous. Perhaps if you go to a "better" furniture store, they sometimes have interior decorators that for free will help you pull it together. Call around and ask some of the furniture stores in your area if they have this service. Hope this helps.
