Daylily Leaves Turning Yellow With Brown Spots

My daylilies have yellow leaves with brown spots. These leave then turn brown and die. Can I spray them with something? I perfer to use homemade remedies when I can.

I just planted several day lilies in 18" pots, watered them well but now they are turning yellow and some have turned brown. The weather here is extremely hot so I leave them in morning sun only and then place them in a shadier area when the sun is at it's hottest. What am I doing wrong. :o( I don't want them to die. Am I over watering them? If so, will they not recover from that? Please help!

My daylilies leaves turn brown if I get water on their leaves I only water the ground they are growing in. I think when there is water on the leaves the sun burns them.

Also overwatering can do that too.
