I think the Bisquick is a give-away to the (original) source of this recipe. Many years back, a number of recipes came out called "Impossible..." pies. Milk & Bisquick, and other ingredients depending on type of 'pie' being made, were mixed in a blender & poured into a pie pan (or other baking dish). After baking, the 'pie' had an appearance of a crust on the bottom. I've made many of them through the years, they are simple and quick to prepare and taste wonderful.
I'm sure that what was left out in this recipe was to blend the eggs, milk and Bisquick and pour over the other ingredients that had been placed in the pan, then top w/nutmeg if desired, and bake.
You left out the milk and Bisquick. Are they to be mixed in with the other ingredients as well? I'm assuming so.
