Bench and Perennial Border in Early Spring

My husband built a garden bench, and we planted our perennial borders with the bench as the focal point.

I'm not seeing the bench. Am I blind? That Azalea planting is fantastic, like the ones here in the Spring.
Do you have a sprinkler system to keep them moist?
How long have you had them? I tried several times but got bad varieties, lost them to legginess and disease or something each time. Gave up and went to Native Plants with GREAT success and no maintenance. Wish I had a way to send a photo. : )

Editor's Note: The bench is on the right hand side of the picture.

Wow! We just built and my husband has dreams of tending to a rose garden. I can just imagine that if he saw this picture, it would closely resemble his dream. Thanks so much for sharing!
