Marigolds for Aphids |
|
|
Garden pests, especially aphids can't stand to be around marigolds, so I plant them around everything, especially carrots and strawberries. Marigolds spread so nicely on their own. When the marigolds are all dried up pull the seeds out of where the flower was and either plant them or put them in a plastic bag for next year.

The leaves of my marigolds have all turned gray and somebody who is supposed to know, told me it was caused by aphids. Help!

My marigolds are covered with aphids, so why when you say aphids hate them are they on mine?

Ardis , Just a note on seed saving. Use paper bags for the marigold seeds to save for next year. Plastic will sometimes during the year, sweat and the seeds will mold. I happen to be allergic to Marigolds so I plant only the french mini's. Snails love them. LOL GG Vi

Thank you for the advice! Would this work with tomato plants also?
