Having wrapping paper on hand can save you money and time when you need to wrap a present. It's also nice to take advantage of after-Christmas sales to get clearance wrapping paper for the following year. This is guide about organizing and storing wrapping paper so it's in good shape when you need it.
I use one of those under the bed storage boxes for organizing my gift wrapping. Along with all the wrapping paper (including some I have recycled). I keep scissors and cellophane tape, ribbons, sticky labels and card tags along with birthday cards and a few left over Christmas cards.
It's quite spacious so I have also only now started to collect some gifts ready for this year's anniversaries and birthdays and I keep those inside it too. It fits under the sofa bed in my lounge so I still have space under my bed.
All that I need for gift wrapping all in one place!

Here is a new use for my empty 3 liter soda bottle, a frugal rolled paper storage solution. Just remove the bottom.

I usually have a lot of left over wrapping paper. It ends up torn or looking pretty ratty, especially since I don't have a lot of storage space. I came across this idea and it is perfect. Screw in four wall anchors, and run galvanized wire to support about a dozen large rolls of wrapping paper on your ceiling closet. No more ruined wrapping paper!

If you don't keep your collapsible chairs in the pouch they came in you can store your rolls of wrapping paper in them. It keeps light and dust from ruining the rolls of paper.

I have bought pants hangers from the thrift store and I use them to hang all my wrapping paper that I have received (with gifts). By hanging up the paper, it stays it better shape and it is easier to get to it when I need it. Hang your wrapping paper or bags in different categories like Christmas, Children, Weddings etc.

After Christmas, if you take your leftover Christmas wrap off the roll, roll it back up, and place it inside the cardboard holder it will keep better for next year.

With boxing day sales ahead of me I know I'm going to have a lot of extra wrapping paper that needs to be stored away until next Christmas. I recently saw a gift wrap organizer that hangs in the closet and I thought it was a great idea - except that it cost almost $25 for what was essentially a hanger with a plastic bag attached!
Eventually I'll buy some sale fabric and make my own, but until then I've found a cheaper solution: I went to the dollar store and bought a plastic garment storage bag (it comes with it's own hanger). If you find the short ones, gift wrap rolls fit perfectly inside. If they only have the longer ones (for full length coats, dresses, etc.) then just tie a knot in the bottom. So now I just pop in the rolls of gift wrap, zip it up, and hang it away in the closet until I need it next year - all for a buck!

I use my tall brass umbrella "bucket" to store rolls of wrapping paper. All of my umbrellas are the small, compact type that get lost in the stand, so it works well for storing the wrapping paper. I keep the bucket in my coat closet where I also store my gift bags in a banker's box on a shelf.
If you have any old suit bags, use them for storing long rolls of gift wrap. Also enclose, to save on time, put a roll of scotch tape, scissors, gift tags and a pen or marker. Zip it up and hang in a closet. Be sure to label the bag, so you'll know what's inside, come time for gift wrapping time. Easy to find and all in one place, at your fingertips! Some companies have holiday gift wrap bins or organization bags with compartments for this type of storage, but they're expensive, utilize what you have at home and make your own!

I found a real neat way to keep your wrapping paper from unraveling, without tearing or spoiling your paper. Use a coated elastic band used to hold ponytails. Try It. I did and it works fantastically. No more wasting.

Buy two under-the-bed storage boxes (Rubbermaid makes them). In one I store misc. gift wrap, bags, cards, tags, ribbons as well as hasty notes. This is my "Year Round Box". In the other, I place Christmas gift wrap, ribbons, bows, cards, tags and a few small ornaments to attach to gifts. This is my "Christmas Box".
In both boxes I also store any gift boxes that fold down to fit.
I live in a condo with limited storage space. When I shove the boxes under my bed, lower my bedskirt... Voila! Extra storage!

I would like some tips for storing Christmas paper rolls. I hate when the cut end of the roll gets torn and wrinkled and hung up on the others.
