We all know someone who is elderly or has arthritis, carpel tunnel or other disabilities that makes it difficult to work with her hands. Those of us who have full use of our hands sometimes don't stop to think of all the things. We can easily do that she either struggles to do or cannot do at all.

Surprise her with a zip bag full of green beans that have been washed and snapped, or a bag filled with cantaloupe slices, or a bag of strawberries that have been washed, stems removed and sliced, ready for adding sweetening and mashing for strawberry shortcake. You won't have to think about it long to come up with ideas of your own.

You will be surprised at how much she will appreciate your thoughtfulness. Your work will be well rewarded when you see her grateful reaction.

Caution, this is so rewarding that you might find yourself giving these zip bags to those who have full use of their hands.

I had a wonderful friend who lived 3 hours from me, but when she would come to visit, she alway brought garden goodies. Even tho she was in poor health, she alway snaped the green beans and had them ready to go. she has passed on, and I will never forget her thoughtfulness and kindness. I believe in paying it forward. Great idea.

The Lord has blessed me, there is nothing wrong with my hands, but I use to have a neighbor who had a garden and for no reason she would bring me bags of green beans that were ready to go and sliced strawberries, banana bread and other goodies. She took most of the work out of it for me, and my whole family got a wonderful treat, I just loved her for thinking enough of our friendship that she would go to all that work for me. I know it sure made me and my family happy to get these things so I started doing the same thing for my friends and family. You are right, it IS very rewarding.
