A blue cheese variety that originated in Sweden. It is made from cow's milk and it is characterized by streaks of dull blue mold that are throughout the cheese. Like other blue cheeses, Adelost has a sharp flavor that makes it excellent as an addition to salads or as a dessert cheese.
