Will a Silenced Smoke Detector Still Go Off?

If my smoke detector is silenced, will it go off?

What do you mean by silenced? If you disconnected the alarm then, no, the alarm will not go off. If you mean it simply stopped going off after it had gone off before then there is a test button you can push. If it goes off when you push the button then it will work and if it doesn't go off when you push the button then it won't.
