In a large skillet, brown ground beef, celery and onion; drain. Add rice, salt , pepper, ketchup, and tomato; mix well. Spoon mixture into peppers. Place peppers in ungreased shallow baking pan. In small bowl, combine tomato sauce and basil; mix well. Spoon half of sauce over peppers.
Bake at 350 degrees F for 30 to 40 minutes, or until peppers are tender. Spoon on remaining sauce and sprinkle with cheese during the last 5 minutes of baking.

Another favorite of my husband. We love fresh peppers and this recipe is great!
Cut off tops of peppers; remove seeds and membranes. Parboil 5 minutes in boiling salted water; drain. Cut bacon into small pieces. In small skillet, cook bacon with onion until bacon is crisp and drain.
Combine bacon and onion, rice, cheese of choice, pimento, and salt. Toss to blend. Spoon rice into pepper cups, packing down. Place upright in baking dish. Bake at 350 degrees F for 25-30 minutes, or until hot. Garnish each with bacon, if desired.
