Cherry Wild Rice
This simple recipe makes a a delicious and healthy side dish for any meal.
- 2-6oz. packages. long grain and wild rice mix
- 1 cup dried cherries, variation: dried cranberries or golden raisins
- 1 cup sliced green onion
- 1 cup snipped fresh parsley
Cook rice mix in a large saucepan or Dutch oven according to package directions for 2 packages. Stir in desired dried fruit, green onion and parsley. Cover and heat through. Serve immediately. Serves 12.
