Organize with Plastic Boxes and Bins

Keeping a kid's bedroom clean is no walk in the park. Here are some ideas to keep things under control. I really like organizing with plastic boxes (think sterlite boxes), but they can be pretty pricey.

What I like to do is hit up the Dollar Store and find small boxes there. The Dollar Tree almost always has stackable bins, and usually in a variety of colors! I use these for all of the small things; all the overwhelming odds and ends that tend to clutter a space.

What might you put in the bins?

  • Hair scrunchies, Headbands
  • Socks, undergarments
  • Small doll accessories
  • Baby doll clothes
  • Small toys

Any little things you find. If you get several different colors, it's easy to have your little one help clean up ("Put this in the red bin"). In a child's bedroom, it's really important for everything to have a place. Structure makes cleaning easier for everyone.

Having a weekly "pick-up" day helps ensure staying organized remains simple. Don't ever let organizing become difficult! Good Luck!
