Like most myths about pits, this thing about lock jaws I believe is not true. They are however strong, athletic dogs, the athletes of the dog world! And like most dogs, they need good training and lots of exercise, they are also very very loyal dogs, very devoted to their owners, a trait that has made it easy for those who exploit them to train them to fight.
He looks like a lot of lab to me, maybe some boxer thrown in. Just train him well!
