Anybody know a song where part of the chorus goes 'Is this devotion or is it just emo-o-o-tion?' Sounds like Hip-Hop fused with dance-hall with male vocals circa 1990's. First line "Well listen dis cause it a brand new style".

Locomotion? Emotion? Sheesh, some people have no idea what they're on about. I don't know who the singer is, but I believe the song is called 'Love and Emotion' or 'Love and Devotion' - I can't remember exactly.

Here is a site that you can check out. http://www.cdconnection.com/
Sometimes you can put in just the words and it might bring something back to you. Also it sounds like a bee gees record to me. I just don't know the name.

Smokey Robinson had a song (older than the 90s) called, "I Second that Emotion," purely Motown at its best. One line goes, "If you feel like giving me a lifetime of devotion, I second that emotion." Anyway, it has "devotion" and "emotion" in it with male lead vocals.

The line you say that's the first in the song, I remember hearing and singing to, but cannot come up with the title of. I'm sure it will come to me later...

I believe it's a song by Yvonne Elliman(?). Is it called "Emotion"?

What you have is very similar in style and words to Grand Funks Locomotion, which was a remake and then remade again in the late 80's. Are you sure the words you have are right, and emoootion isn't locomotion???

Locomotion
Originally performed by Little Eva in 1962, it was a # 1 top 40 hit remade in 1974 by Grand Funk Railroad, it again hit # 1
Remade again in 1988 By Kylie Minogue, the song made it to # 3 on the charts

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Everybody's doin' a brand new dance now,
(Come on baby, do the locomotion)
I know you'll get tot like it if you give it a chance now,
(Come on baby, do the locomotion)
My little baby sister can do it with ease,
It's easier than learning your A B Cs,
So come on, come on, do the locomotion with me.

You gotta swing your hips now,
Come on baby, jump up, jump back.
Oh well I think you got the knack.

Oh now that you can do it let's make a train now,
(Come on baby, do the locomotion)
Chug a chug a motion like a railroad train now,
(Come on baby, do the locomotion)
Do it nice and easy now don't lose control,
A little bit of rhythm and a lot of soul,
So come on, come on, do the locomotion with me.

The locomotion
Come on, come on...the locomotion
Come on, come on...the locomotion
Come on, come on, come on, come on

Move around the floor in a locomotion,
(Come on baby, do the locomotion)
Do it holdin' hands if you get the notion.
(Come on baby, do the locomotion)
There's never been a dance that's so easy to do,
It even makes you happy when you're feelin' blue,
So come on, come on, do the locomotion with me.

You gotta swing your hips now,
Come on baby, jump up, jump back.
Oh well I think you got the knack.

Do the loc, do the loc, do the loc the locomotion
Do the loc, do the loc, do the loc the locomotion

Do it nice and easy now don't lose control,
A little bit of rhythm and a lot of soul,
Come on...do the locomotion with me

Go to sing365.com. You can search for songs by typing in some of the lyrics! Or just type the lyrics in Google, and something should pop up.
