This is my pet bird 'Duncan'. He an Australian Galah. I got him as he was emerging from his egg so I am the only mother he knows, he was found in a nest when a tree was chopped down with 2 other half hatched babies. I reared them and believe me it wasn't all fun.
He is 14 months old and thinks he's part human part Labrador retriever as my other pet is a Labrador, I might add the dog is scared of the bird (with good reason.) One of Duncan's favorite things (apart from terrorising the dog) is to 'use' the computer and by that I mean try to take it apart! I took this photo when I surprised him about to "use' my computer.

Duncan is such a pretty boy. I'm sure it was difficult raising him from a hatchling, but it looks like you did a great job. I tried to take care of an abandoned baby bird one time but he died. Glad you had better luck. He surely is pretty.

This looks like the parrot we call Rose Breasted Cockatoo. I take it you live in Australia cause if there are trees in the US with these in them, I want your address!! Australia sure has a lot of beautiful birds and animals - I especially love the cockatoos and Koalas! Karen
