A saltwater boat is so very difficult, and expensive, to keep clean. I was using SoftScrub to clean my bay boat, but ran out one day. I had a choice as to whether I should go to the store and buy more, or make some myself. I took the same amounts of powdered Tide and bleach and mixed them in the same bottle that I'd had the SoftScrub in. It works like a champ. It turns the boat white as snow.

Editor's Note: Always use caution when mixing bleach with any other substances. Many cleaners include ammonia which makes a toxic gas with bleach.

hello Indian Bob - you must be working out in a ventilated area. Normally it's completely dangerous, deaths happen regularly, to mix bleach with other products. One of those combinations releases pure chlorine gas, a biochemical warfare agent in World War I, a terrible way to die. So I trust that you're being smart about this. You might want to do a Netsearch on it to be safe. I wouldn't want even small amounts of lung damage from it.
