Soreness at the injection site is unavoidable. Even with the best technique, no matter what was injected, there is at least some soreness.

Where did he/she recieve the shot? What kind of shot was it? Animals are usually just like a child when they receive an immunization shot, the area is usually sore and may even have a bump at the injections site depending on the type of shot. The soreness usually goes away with in a week. How long ago was the shot given?
