Tip: Use Epsom Salts on Your Tomatoes and Peppers To help your tomatoes and peppers to set fruit, spray the blooms and plants with epsom salts water. Use 1 teaspoon of epsom salts in one quart of warm water and mix well. The magnesium in the epsom salts gives the plants and additional boost and helps them absorb nutrients from the soil.
