Ingredients and Directions
Cook 1 cup raw rice as directed on package and set aside to use later.
- 1/2 cup minced onion
- 1 cup diced celery
- 1/4 cup margarine
Cook together onion and celery in margarine until soft, but not brown.
- 1 lb. ground beef, browned
- 1/2 cup slivered almonds
- 1 tsp. soy sauce
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/8 tsp. garlic salt
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- 2 cans mushrooms, drained
- 1 can cream of chicken soup (undiluted)
- 1 carton sour cream
Mix all of this together with cooked rice. Pour into a large greased casserole. Bake in 375 degrees F for 45 minutes. At the end of 30 minutes baking time, pour over top 1 can chow mein noodles and continue baking for the remaining 15 minutes.
