  • Frozen grapes: place grapes on tray and put in freezer and serve

  • Crackers and apples

  • Yogurt Fruit Snack: Slice up any types of fruits you like: bananas, apples, strawberries, any type of berries, bing cherries. Add low fat vanilla or plain yogurt. Mix and let sit in the fridge until chilled. If you use cherries and strawberries, it turns the yogurt pink.

I like the cream cheese and brown sugar for dipping apple slices idea. Also the watermelon juice popsicles. Something kids can do.

Be careful of the age of your children with frozen grapes! My Mom always made frozen grapes for us, it was like a cool candy!

Also, try mixing cream cheese (can use the low fat or even non fat) with a small amount of milk, to make it more of a frosting consistency. Give each child a small bowl of this and a small bowl of brown sugar, sliced apples dipped in the cream cheese mixture then in the sugar tastes like carmel apples! Fun to do and tasty, with calcium! We are doing the treat with kids for VBS, I know they'll love it!

Frozen blueberries, raspberries and blackberries are great too! Costco's price for a flat (6 baskets) of raspberries (here in CA, right next to raspberry land mind you!) are such a deal, we usually get through 4 baskets before they start to turn, I throw them on a paper plate and wa la! Instand healthy "candy".

Blend up watermelon, till juice add a squirt of lemon and place into popsicle molds, a healthy and very satisfying hot day treat, one you don't mind saying "Sure, have another popsicle!"
