Taco Casserole

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1 can enchilada sauce (10oz.)
  • 1 bag cheese flavored corn chips, crushed (Doritos)
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese, grated
  • 1/4 head lettuce shredded
  • 1 large tomato, diced

Directions:

Brown beef and add sauce. Layer half of beef mixture into a 1 1/2 quart casserole. Top with 1/2 of the chips; add rest of beef mixture over that. Bake at 350 degrees F for 20-30 minutes. Take out of oven. Add remaining grated cheese. Bake for 5 more minutes. Top with lettuce and diced tomato.

Recipe: Taco Casserole

Ingredients

  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1 can tomato sauce
  • 1 envelope taco seasoning mix
  • 1/2 cup Cheddar cheese (shredded)
  • 2 1/2 cups Doritos
  • 1 can chili beans

Directions

Line bottom of 9x13 inch dish with 2 cups of Doritos. Brown hamburger. Add sauce and seasoning mix. Spoon this over Doritos. Add chili bean layer. Bake at 375 degrees F for 25 minutes. Then sprinkle on remaining Doritos and the 1/2 cup cheese. Bake 5 minutes longer.

Recipe: Taco Casserole

Ingredients:
  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1 pack of taco seasoning
  • 1 can refried beans
  • Flour tortillas
  • Shredded cheese
  • Shredded lettuce
  • Chopped tomatoes
  • Sour Cream
  • Salsa

Directions:

Brown ground beef;drain. Add taco seasoning to ground beef, read package for the amount of water to add. Spoon a little of the taco juice in the bottom of a 9 X 13 glass casserole dish. Line the bottom of the dish with the flour tortilla (1 1/2 or 2) Use 1/2 of the refried beans and spread over the tortilla, then add 1/2 of the taco mixture over the beans, sprinkle on the shredded cheese. Repeat. Two layers total.

Preheat at 375 degrees for 20 - 30 minutes. Top with lettuce, tomatoes, sour cream and salsa. Quick and easy dish. My son is 13 years old, this has been his favorite for the past 10 years.
