Homemade Tacos

Ingredients
  • 1 lb. hamburger
  • 6 large potatoes
  • 1/4 cup water
  • Taco seasoning
  • Corn Tortillas
  • 1 cup shortening

Directions

Brown about 1 pound of Hamburger. Boil about 6 large potatoes.

After the meat is browned add 1/4 cup water and taco seasoning. Cook until most of the water is gone. Remove the potatoes and mash them. Mix the potatoes with the meat and set aside.

Next you will take corn tortillas and in a skillet with about 1 cup of shortening heated you will place the tortillas in one at a time to heat on both sides. Then you take the filling and fill the tortillas, fold in half and use wooden toothpicks to secure them. After they are all filled you will then fry them in the skillet again until the shells are firm.

Add your favorite toppings, lettuce, tomatoes, cheese, salsa, sour cream, etc and enjoy!
