If you don't have Easter baskets, you can also use:
This cute little bunny has hopped all day
Been delivering baskets for the holiday.
His paws are so tired and his little nose itches.
He left you something specialsomething to fill all your wishes.
These cute little hugs and Easter kisses.
Jelly Beans
RED is for the blood He gave.
GREEN is for the grass He made.
YELLOW is for the sun so bright.
ORANGE is for the edge of night.
BLACK is for the sins we made.
WHITE is for the grace he gave.
PURPLE is for His hour of sorrow.
PINK is for our new tomorrow.
A bag full of jelly beans colorful and sweet,
Is a prayer, is a promise, is a special treat.
Then stick some green Easter grass in the top of the bag (leave some hanging out) and secure the bag with a rubber band and then ribbon so that it resembles a carrot.

You can make an Easter basket of any size from a plastic bottle. Even bleach bottles, although you'd want to soak them for a couple of days first. Just cut off the top. Now cut out a rectangle from each side, down to where you want the top of the basket, leaving a strap on each side. Bend the two straps together at the top and staple them. Use a hole punch to make holes around the edges on both sides about a half inch apart. Now thread a darning needle (big eye) with bright yarn. You or the kids can stitch around the edges through the holes. Tie a bow on the side of the strap if you like. I used drinking water bottles to make little baskets and put in a square of tissue for a liner. Then I put in jelly beans for our Sunday Schoolers. Definitely a hit!
And why do they have to be BASKETS? I found that I was dumping the easter type basket after the holiday, so now I use something useful. A basket that is meant to store hair bobbles, a cute basket for a wastebasket, etc.
