Wedding Cupcake Tree

My friend was on a tight budget for her wedding, so she decided to have cup cakes instead of a wedding cake. My gift to her was this cup cake tree. The roses were leftovers from her bouquet, which she made, and the hydrangeas are from my garden.

Source: I made her one for her bridal shower and she liked it so much that she wanted one for her wedding.

Oh my gosh! I totally love that cupcake tower! I'm looking for a great way to display some cupcakes I made for the church choir. These ones look awesome: http://www.penguincupcaketowers.com

That is awesome!

For my wedding, I had a small bride/groom cake and then on half of the tables, I had cupcake trees as centerpieces! They were a huge hit! I hit 2 birds with one stone. Dessert and centerpieces! And it could also work as the wedding favor (I also had a candy buffet!)

I got my trees from Michaels using coupons for half off!

RE: Making a Cupcake Tree

I don't know how to make one- but I do know that my local craft store sells them - one holds 18 and it is about $20 and the other holds 48 and it is about $35. (03/10/2009)

Here is a DIY tutorial. If this is what you are looking for, hopefully I gave you some sort of guidance.

RE: Making a Cupcake Tree

I don't know how to make a cupcake tree either, but here is an idea from BettyCrocker.com. It is stacked cupcakes on a single cake layer. I have made this several times. I frost all one color instead of making all the icing colors. This always puts a smile on my husband's face!
