I want to purchase some strong household magnets. I have two, about 1x2 inches, from a hardware store. I paid $2.50 for both and would like to buy about 20-30 more, though less expensively. Any thoughts? Thanks!

Like Hans, I too get magnets in bulk from http://www.magnet4less.com .
Best prices I've found anywhere.

I'd go to staples or office depot.

You don't say what you want these for. If they are for crafts, Michaels might be your best bet, but there are also all kinds of magnets available at places like Princess Auto stores or agricultural supply stores. Princess Auto is here in Canada -- I don't know if you have them, but I am refering to a place that sells auto supplies, welding supplies, and so on. Give those places a try.

Good strong magnets are indeed hard to find these days. I vote for trying Michaels as well. If you don't mind how they look and just want the plain black magnets, I would also try Home Depot or Lowes.
