If you need bags for doggie clean-ups, save "bubble bags", a packing material that is using for shipping packages.
Cut across the bags to let the air out and store the bags in a large pill bottle for easy carrying when needed.
The "bubble bags" have other uses for when you need a plastic bag. They come in different sizes. I would not recommend using them for storing any food products.
