20 mozzarella cheese, cut in small bite size pieces (use quality cheese for best flavor)
Salt and pepper to taste
1/2 cup red wine vinegar
1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil
20 toothpicks
Directions:
Spear half of a tomato, a piece of basil or cilantro sprig, a mozzarella bite and another half of a tomato on each toothpick. Mix the vinegar, oil, salt and pepper together in a small bowl to serve as a dipping sauce.
Both of these sauce ideas are much better than the usual mayonaise based dips. I'm always looking for tasty and healthier alternatives.

Hi Jess, I didn't even think about that! Next time I'll try the balsamic and maybe a second small bowl of rice vinegar with sesame oil just to see how it would taste! Thanks!

Yum! I bet balsamic vinegar would also be good for this recipe, with the tomatoes and basil. Great for a party or just for snacking.
