Could you tell me what Cavander's seasoning is? We don't have it in Australia. Can you recommend a substitute. Heather from Adelaide, Australia

RE: What Is Cavaner's Seasoning
I have never heard of it so I had to look it up. Apparently Cavender's Greek Seasoning is a blend of 13 spices.http://www.greekseasoning.com/ This site has a recipe...don't know how accurate it is:http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20070618095130AAgQ7iX Another site had it listed as: salt, black pepper, garlic, oregano, sugar, onion powder, parsley and five other spices. A few sites said it was similar to SPIKE seasoing (dont know if you have that in Australia)...some said it wasn't really close to Cavendar's.

RE: What Is Cavander's Seasoning
Cavender's All Purpose Greek Seasoning is made by a company in the state of Arkansas in the USA. The ingredients include Salt, Black Pepper, Corn Starch, Garlic, Monosodium Glutamate, Oregano, Flavor Base Seasoning (Hydrolyzed Corn Soy Protein, Sugar, Onion Powder, Spice Extracts), Parsley And Five Other Spices. They do not name the "five other spices" even on the container label -- it's their family secret. A seller on Amazon.com offers this item; I don't know if they will ship to Australia.
