2 cups rice, cooked (leftover rice from another meal works well for this)
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
2 Tbsp. sugar
2 cups milk
1 tsp. butter or margarine
Directions
Combine all ingredients in a saucepan. Cook on medium heat until warmed but not boiling. You can adjust the cinnamon and sugar to your taste. This can also be microwaved very easily. Serves 4.
Hot rice with rasins, milk, sugar, and cinnamon was our lunch every Monday washday when I was a child. That was waaaaaaayyyy back when laundry was done with homemade soap, wringer washers, and hung outside. Mom worked hard, but those were wonderful days for a child.
