Oyster Stew

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1 pint oysters in liquid
  • 1 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup cream

Directions

Melt butter in top of a double boiler. Add the oysters and bring to the boiling point, but do not permit them to boil. Add milk and cream. Continue heating. When the oysters come to the surface the soup is done. The time it takes for them to do this varies, so watch closely! Add the seasoning just before serving.
