Requesting any solutions or repair for a sofa bed frame which is bent and can be hardly pushed back inside the sofa. The bar in the middle is totally bent as well as the springs. Can this frame be replaced or how can it be repaired?

Need help! We have a sleeper sofa that is in perfect condition, unfortunately the sofa bed frame is bent slightly and the right side of the sofa will not close completely. (We made the mistake of adding a thin memory foam mattress pad to the sleeper mattress , closing it and sitting on the sofa). I called the store where we purchased the sofa sleeper and they were absolutely no help.

I helped a friend move last weekend. To get his couch bed out of the basement, we seperated bed from couch and reassembled at his new home. he called me last night complaining the bed won't open. When we reassembled we had the mattress off. Pulled bed out and put mattress on and made the bed and closed bed, put the cushions on and ever thing was good. Was there something we did wrong with the reassembly?

Is there an easy way to get the convertible mechanism back into the sofa? I removed it to repair the couch wood frame in spots. It seems like an awkward operation. There has to be an easier way!

Castro Convertables has gone out of business. The model number I believe you are looking for is C23083 but it won't help because I have searched everywhere for the same I mattress. I am looking to replace mine as well and no one has been able to help me.

A rivet came out and the frame may be bent. We need what is probably a minor repair. We cannot close the bed if it is open, nor open it if it is closed. It is queen sized.

Please advise. It may be a Castro type mechanism. The company went out of busiiness.

Best,
Alfred Heller

Editor's Note: Look for a short bolt or screw and a nut to fit to replace the rivet.

We are looking for galvanized helical springs that hold on the bottom flat sheet the foam pad lays on. These springs are falling off. Does anyone know where to get these to replace the ones that are gone so we can still use the fold out bed?

I have a very similar problem! Did you find out how or where to get it repaired?
My sofabed is a Castro Convertible, and they have been out of business for quite awhile so I don't know where to go. Let me know how your situation turned out, ok? Thanks!

I know the frames can be replaced, but I am not certain who you will need to contact to do that. If your sofa is a name brand you should contact the manufacturer for a replacement on the bed frame. They will be able to tell you how to go about getting the replacement.
