Does anyone have any ideas of what I can do with my cherry tomatoes? I have given some away, but wondering if they can be frozen. I don't want to can them or any of that, just freeze them after washing them off.

Years ago, at a huge department store called Lazarus, in Columbus, Ohio, the bakery sold Russian Black Bread. This bread was coal black inside and out, and tasted like a very light, slightly sweet, rye bread. Does anyone have a recipe like that? I've tried the traditional Russian Black Bread, and though dark, it is not black, and it is VERY heavy and coarse. This one is quite light tasting. I am sure someone out there knows what I'm talking about.
Thank you!

Peaches, peaches, peaches! We have tons of peaches this year. I have frozen, canned, made cobblers, served fresh, any other ideas? I hate to see all of them go to waste. I have had a couple of people take me up on picking some, but isn't it ironic you can't hardly even give them away!
Any ideas would be appreciated.
Thanks!

I have cans of pork and beans and need recipes for these. I am tired of the same old "open can and heat and eat". I would like to know how i can use these up. The were cans given to me, (I would not buy them myself). Thank you in advance for any and all suggestions.

I need a recommendation on a good Electric Skillet to buy. The one I had broke after many years of faithful service and is no longer manufactured. RIP. Would anyone like to suggest a stainless vs a non-stick? Otherwise, what are your non-stick recommendations?

Ozark Gardens Buttermilk Biscuits
In large mixing bowl, mix shortening and flour to a smooth gravy like consistency;
Turn out on well floured board; knead lightly but well, adding more flour as needed to make dough that is easily handled. Roll to 1/2 inch thick and cut with a 2 inch cutter. This makes a lot of biscuits, more than you will use at one time. Place biscuits on greased baking sheets, brush biscuits with melted shortening and freeze. Remove amount needed to fill plastic bags and store in freezer.
When the urge for good biscuits comes, remove what you need, place in greased baking sheet, let thaw and bake in a 400 degree F (preheated) oven.

Combine apples, lemon juice and white sugar in an 8x8 baking dish. Microwave for 2 minutes at high. Combine remaining ingredients until crumbly. Sprinkle evenly over hot apples. Microwave for 9-12 minutes at high until apples are tender. Substitute 1 can cherry or peach filling; or 3 cup rhubarb; or 5 cup peaches for the apples for a fruit crisp of your choice. Follow the same directions as listed above. (Omit white sugar is using pie filling.)

Heat oven to 450 degrees F. In large bowl combine flour, baking powder, dill, pepper, basil, salt, baking soda and thyme; using pastry blender or two knives, cut in butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Make well in center of mixture; pour in sour cream and milk. Using wooden spoon, stir until just blended. Turn dough out onto lightly floured surface; flatten to 1/2 inch thickness. Using 2 inch biscuit or cookie cutter, cut out biscuits; place on ungreased cookie sheet, spacing about 1/2 inch apart. Bake 15-18 minutes until golden. Makes about 18 biscuits.
