Marking Pans, Dishes and Utensils For Group Picnics Or Camping |
|
|
When we go picnicking/camping with other families, we usually mix cooking and eating utensil together for eating and dishwashing. Saves on water and fuel.
I also always keep a small dish detergent bottle filled with bleach handy and add a squirt or two to the dish pan for a disinfectant.
Here is an easy way to mark your dishes so that you don't lose them. Take fingernail polish and mark a band around the handle of them. It makes it really easy to locate your dishes when it's time to go home. I finally came up with this idea after losing several dishes.

Please don't mix bleach with dishwater! Read the label! This can cause very nasty fumes! A web friend saw someone at work almost die from this! Ammonia is also a bad thing to mix with dishwater or bleach, same results, nasty fumes. Vinegar is fine.
