Repelling Mosquitoes

Can anyone tell me if mosquitoes hate the smell of lemons?

I don't know about mosquitoes, but, lemon quarters stuffed with cloves do repel bugs. Place them on the table when you have an outdoor gathering. Also, pots of basil are suppose to keep flies away from food. Hope this helps
