Keeping Garbage Disposals Fresh |

Speaking of garbage disposals, I've been told by two plumbers that orange peels are great for the disposals, they keep the smell fresh down there.

I have used orange, lemon & lime peels with ice cubes
(cubes keep blades sharp) and
sometimes when I do not have peels handy
I just use mix of half white vinegar and half
baking soda that does the trick too

True! You can also use lemon and lime peels. I used to clean my disposal in my old apt. with lemon peels and ice cubes.
