RE: Cleaning the Bathroom
One day while over my grandmothers house, I noticed she had a *special* mop. I was informed that mop is used to clean the tile and tub when she finishes. Great idea, I thought as she has a hard time bending and the mop allows her to clean the bathtub with ease.

RE: Cleaning the Bathroom
I to have what I call a cleaning station in almost each room of my house. In the bathroom I have a bottle of vineger/water and a microfiber rag for mirrors - magic eraser tub and shower, spray bottle with a solution of spic and span and water (to spray on the floor for a quick once over) - All purpose cleaner. ripped up rags. Everyday at some point, I do a quick once over. This way it stays clean plus if you have a guest come over - just excuse yourself to the restroom and you have everything there. Hey also when that happens, have a candle and a match ready to light in the bathroom (as long as there isnt a little guy around) People love that :)

Bathroom Cleaner
Powdered or gel dishwasher detergent is an excellent shower and bathroom cleaner, especially if you have hard water (it contains water softeners.)

I keep a supply of cleaning products (windex, vinegar, etc) and paper towels under the sink in each bathroom. Everytime I use a bathroom, I give it, or an area of it, a quick once over before leaving, that way it's a matter of daily maintenance instead of a big dirty job.

RE: Cleaning the Bathroom
DomenicaNY suggests using lemon juice and water for cleaning shower doors. What is the ratio of lemon juice to water? Thanks.

Cleaning Toilets
To clean toilet bowls use vinegar and baking soda. Makes them "just new white".

Editor's Note: For stubborn spots, let the vinegar sit for a few minutes.

RE: Cleaning the Bathroom
I always use a bottle of 50/50 water and white vinegar and spray down the toilet and give it a quick wipe with a bit of toilet paper. I also spray down the counter with a damp wash cloth and the vinegar mix. I also spray a little mist of vinegar solution in the waste basket. About 30 minutes later the vinegar odor is gone, as is any other odors that may have been there. Note: I blame ThriftyFun.com for my obsession with the many uses of vinegar! ;)

RE: Cleaning the Bathroom
Each time my husband or I take a shower, we dry off in the shower, then use the towel to wipe down the walls and floor of the tub. This saves on water spot buildup and keeps the shower nice all the time. I learned this from a dear old friend who is no longer with us. When she passed away, her home was almost like a new one inside even though it was many years old.

Cleaning Hair Spray Areas
When cleaning the bathroom, be sure to wipe down the door or wall behind where you stand to use hairspray because, although invisible, the spray actually builds up on the surface!
