Craft Project: Egg Balloon

A colorful, fun craft just in time for spring!

Approximate Time: 45 min.

Supplies:

• plastic egg
• glue
• pieces of ribbon and fabric trim
• plastic medicine cup
• brown paint
• paint brush
• pipe cleaners

Instructions:

Glue the halves of the plastic egg together, then decorate it with pieces of ribbon and fabric trim. Cut an additional piece of ribbon and glue it in a loop to the top of the egg for a hanger.

Pour a little brown paint on a piece of wax paper, add a little glue and stir to combine. Paint the plastic medicine cup with this mixture and allow to dry.

Cut three pieces of pipe cleaner to the same length, about 4 - 6". Glue one end of each piece to the inside of the medicine cup, spacing evenly, and allow the glue to dry.

Glue the egg to the top of the pipe cleaners, then glue another piece of ribbon or fabric trim around the egg to cover the pipe cleaner ends.

Hang anywhere to decorate. You can even make several to hang on a tree or small branch.
