Cake Mix Cinnamon Rolls I
Ingredients
- 2 packages Dry yeast
- 2 1/2 cups water
- 1 box yellow cake mix (or pudding)
- 4 1/2 cups flour
Directions
Combine all ingredients and let rise until double in size. Roll out dough to 1/2 to 3/4 inch thick. Spread on either a fruit pie filling or cinnamon filling listed below. Roll up jelly roll and slice into 1 inch slices. Bake at 350 degrees F for 20 minutes.
Cinnamon Filling
- 2 tsp. cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp. nutmeg
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
Roll as before, slice and bake. Lay, side by side in a 9x13 inch greased pan.

Cake Mix Cinnamon Rolls II
Mix:
- 2 1/2 cups warm water
- 2 packages yeast
Add:
- 1 box yellow cake mix
- 4-5 cups flour
Knead and let rise (30-45 minutes).
Roll 1/2 of dough about 1/2 inch thick; spread with:
- melted butter
- brown and white sugar
- cinnamon
- nuts, opt.
- raisins, opt.
Roll up and cut in 1/2-3/4 inch thick slices. Place on ungreased pan. Let rise again about 30 minutes. Bake 20-25 minutes in 30 oven. Note: This rises faster than regular dough because the cake mix has baking powder. Can drizzle top after baking, if desired, with:
