Chocolate Drop Cookies

Ingredients

  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup soft shortening
  • 1/2 cup sweet milk
  • 1 egg
  • 2 Tbsp. cocoa
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 tsp. soda

Directions

Cream sugar and shortening; beat in egg. add milk, cocoa and flour. Dissolve soda in a little hot water and stir into mixture. Drop by spoonful on cookie sheet. Bake at 375 degrees F until done. Ice when cool, if desired, with a little powdered sugar icing or your favorite icing.

Recipe: Chocolate Drop Cookies

Ingredients

  • 2 cups brown sugar
  • 3 cups flour
  • 1 cup butter or margarine
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 large Tbsp. cocoa
  • 4 tsp. vanilla
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 tsp. baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp. soda
  • 1 pkg. chocolate chips

Directions

Cream margarine and sugar. Add the rest of ingredients. Bake in 350 degree F oven for about 10 minutes.
