Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Brown onion and hamburger. Grease bottom of 2-quart casserole dish lightly. Spread sliced potatoes on bottom of dish. Pour corn over potatoes top with layer of rice or noodles. Cover with hamburger and onion. Add a cup or two of water to keep juicy. Bake until potatoes are done.
You can add green beans or carrots before hamburger layer if you wish.
